Gemeinnützige Werkstätten Oldenburg e.V.

The “Gemeinnützige Werkstätten Oldenburg e.V.” (Non-profit Workshop Society Oldenburg) is a workshop for people with disabilities (WfbM) recognized by the twelfth book of social security code (SGB IX). They offer vocational rehabilitation for people with intellectual, physical and mental disabilities as well as living in the community. The GWO is also a certified educational institution according to AZAV (a binding quality management system for educational institutions).
It consists of a vocational training area with different emphases, the work area and the day care area for persons with severe multiple disabilities as well as a diverse housing offer for the circle of people.
Right now, there are 313 tariff employees and 869 employees with different disabilities engaged. In addition to the work groups within the workshop, the GWO now also operate two cafés, a canteen and a shop where own products and products of other workshops are sold.
